SQUATCH IT LTD aims to reduce avoidable waste across packaging, stock, dispatch and digital working. Our approach is practical, proportionate and focused on improvements we can make as a small ecommerce business.

Packaging

• We aim to reduce unnecessary plastic.
• Plastic is used only where necessary, especially for fragile items such as glass.
• Paper-based protective materials are used where possible.
• Concertina-cut paper cushioning is used instead of bubble wrap where possible.
• Clean supplier packaging is reused where suitable.
• Recycled packing tape and right-sized packaging are used where possible.

Waste

We separate and recycle paper, cardboard, metal, plastic, plastic film, glass, batteries and food waste where local services allow. Damaged but usable stock may be donated to local charity shops where possible.

Digital Working

We use digital-first admin, reduced printing, a solar-powered in-house AI workflow and digital product mock-up scenes to reduce physical props and sets where appropriate. Our website uses diskless, serverless cloud hosting to support lower-waste digital operations.

Stock and Dispatch

We aim to buy carefully to reduce overstock, inspect products before dispatch and pack orders carefully to reduce damage, returns and replacement waste.
